LIMITING
OUR CARBON
FOOTPRINT
For many years now, we have been reducing our use of packing material, and adapting our packaging in an effort to limit our carbon footprint, while at the same time keeping in mind the requirements of sanitary control to protect our highly sensitive products. We have thus simplified our packing, reduced the size of our labels, and we are in the process of progressively replacing multi-material films with single-material ones, for a more efficient integration in the recycling process.
Our goal for the future: 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging.
By 2025, we aim to use 30% recycled plastics or cardboard made from PEFC-labelled virgin wood fibres.

CERTIFIED
PRODUCTION SITES
The majority of our production sites are certified ISO 14001 (environmental management system) and ISO 50001 (energy management system). We verify every year that the criteria for these two certifications are met (results, relevance, etc.)
ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION
As part of our ISO 14001 certification, we are constantly looking for processes and methods to reduce the impact of our production units on the environment, both at the source (reducing our water consumption) and at the end of the chain (waste management). For example, we've had indicators in place for the management of our water consumption for several years now. These are regularly monitored and subject to continuous improvement targets.


ISO 50001 CERTIFICATION
ISO 50001 certification includes the principle of anticipating electricity consumption in order to integrate it into the operation, works, and projects of the sites.


MAKING THE MOST
OF OUR ACTIVITY
3 production units of Agromousquetaires, partners of SVA Jean Rozé, are dedicated to the processing of products and by-products at end of cycle:
- ESTENER (76) : for the manufacture of biofuels from animal fats.
- CORNILLÉ (35) : for the valorisation of slaughter by-products (bones, food fats, ...) and non-food products.
- SAVE - Société Armoricaine de Valorisation Énergétique (35) : incineration with heat recovery of organic waste.
At SVA Jean Rozé, products that are not intended for human consumption are also valued through partnerships with the pet food industry, the automotive industry, the medical and pharmaceutical sector, and the luxury goods industry.
Our SVA and SAVIEL production units have agreements with charities in order to recycle unsold products or meat nearing its sell-by date.
